From an early age, Melissa was captivated by the limitless possibilities of creativity and naturally gravitated toward the world of makeup. While studying for an HND in Fine Art at Reading College of Art and Design, she discovered a deeper passion for makeup when she was asked to carry out makeovers on fellow students. This hands-on experience sparked a connection between art and transformation that reshaped her career path.

Outside of college, Melissa began offering makeover sessions to friends and family, quickly realising the impact her artistry had on enhancing their confidence and individuality. These early experiences ignited a passion that would stay with her for life.

Driven to refine her skills, Melissa pursued a degree in Hair and Make-Up Design for Film, Photography and Music, immersing herself in an environment filled with creativity and technical excellence. Surrounded by talented artists, she expanded her knowledge, perfected her techniques, and strengthened her love for the craft.

After graduating, Melissa launched her professional career as a Retail Artist at M·A·C Cosmetics, where she progressed rapidly due to her dedication, artistry, and ability to connect with people. Over the years, she earned multiple certifications, rose to the position of Retail Manager, and was selected to join the prestigious M·A·C Bodypainting Team, contributing to high-profile events across the UK. Working with such a diverse clientele allowed her to develop an exceptional understanding of skin tones, facial structure, and product performance.

Melissa later completed her DET teaching qualification, which opened the door to a new chapter in her career. She worked at Solent University as a Technical Instructor, teaching on the very course she once studied — a full-circle moment that allowed her to mentor and inspire the next generation of artists.

Today, Melissa continues to combine artistry with education in a contemporary, accessible way. She now teaches makeup techniques live on TikTok, where thousands join her sessions to learn professional skills, gain confidence, and ask real-time questions. Her online presence has become an empowering space for learners at all levels.

Alongside teaching, Melissa is building her own luxury brush brand and expanding her freelance work, committed to helping more clients and students feel confident, beautiful, and inspired.
